Following site identification, we assesses the suitability of the land for a clean energy installation, including an initial planning assessment and a power or gas grid network capacity evaluation.

On suitable sites, an Option Agreement contract is agreed with the landowners. The landowner receives a sign-up fee. The standard option agreements are for 5 years with an option for a 35 year lease period, or an option to buy the land.

Green Quest Renewables undertakes the planning process and lodges a planning application for the site. We also carries out any necessary heritage, flora & fauna, environmental, traffic, glint & glare or visual impact reports required for the site in order to mitigate as many planning issues as possible before the application is lodged. In addition, we work closely with local communities to ensure full transparency with our projects.

Once planning permission is approved for the site, Green Quest Renewables will apply for connection to the power or gas grid.

The next stage of the process is to secure a route to market by way of the RESS process or a Corporate Power/Gas Purchase Agreement with a large energy user.

The option is taken up, and the landowner is paid the agree sums of money.
